Dates, times, durations, and sizes

The HarmFlow app writes dates, times, durations, and sizes the way the interface's language writes them. The same execution therefore reads differently in each language, in its start time and in its duration.

They follow the interface's language

Dates, times, durations, and sizes follow the language chosen for the interface, not your computer's own format. Change the language, and they change with it at once. Choosing the language, and the three languages offered, are covered in The interface's languages.

With System language chosen, the formats are those of the language the interface takes from your Mac: a Mac set to English (United Kingdom), for example, shows the formats of English (United States), its 12-hour clock included.

The same execution in each language

An execution that started on October 20, 2026, at 3:30 in the afternoon and ran for 8 minutes and 32 seconds shows in the History screen, in its Started and Duration columns, as:

A duration shows its two largest units

A duration shows at most its two largest units. An execution that ran for 2 days, 3 hours, and 8 minutes reads 2d 3h in English (United States) and 2 dias 3 h in Portuguese (Brazil): the minutes are left out.

A smaller unit that is zero is left out too. One minute reads 1m, not 1m 0s, in English (United States), 1 min in Portuguese (Brazil), and 1min in Spanish (Spain).

Sizes

Sizes, such as the disk space in Settings, follow the interface's language as well, its decimal separator included: the same size reads 2.1 GB in English (United States) and 2,1 GB in Portuguese (Brazil).
